Software Engineer and Architect at Kruger Logistics
Brazil
My works are very much computer-oriented, using standards-based IT tools and best-of-breed methodologies. I've been in the computer business more than twelve years, and since 1999 I'm staying more in the Unix-based technologies side, doing systems development, platform integration tasks, and a fair bit of infrastructure work.
Programming (C, C++, Java, J2EE, LISP, Perl, Python, various installments of BASIC, SQL (P-SQL/T-SQL), Pascal), Version Control, Server Management, UNIX Operation and Administration (Solaris/OS X/Linux/BSD), Network Services Administration and Archictecture, Systems Architecture, Database Planning and Administration, and Network Programming. Speak fluently English, and understand the basic Latin-descendant languages apart my native Portuguese. Currently studying Dutch.

February 2005 — Present (4 years 11 months)
I've done a Warehouse Management System from scratch, using a clean-room implementation, leveraging Open Source technologies like Python, PostgreSQL, OpenSolaris, Linux and Tomcat (under Java/J2EE). Developed a variety of backends for multiple automation systems following business requirements (also in a variety of languages and platforms).
Also implemented toolkits for rapid generation of interfaces and various tools to speed up development process, drastically simplifying most of the infrastructure work while maintaining reliability.
