  Litoral Textil is textile importer that sells textiles all over the country (Brazil) that make some new stamps for the fabric we sell.
  
  I'm responsible for the softwares used in the company. The main software is build using Delphi and Firebird as the database.
  
  Also since 2008 we've upgrade how our sales representatives send us their customers orders, we introduce a web site. Before this web site they send a fax to us with the order's items, this was given us problems to control the quantities in stock. I was responsible for building the entire web application that solves this problems,choosing the technology and implementing it. Now all the order are send to us through the web solving all the problem we had abouy controling the stock. And I'm still responsible to maintain and upgrade this application. This web site is build using Java platform and fully integrated with the current ERP.

  Responsible to implement source control system using Subversion, before there's no kind of control over distributing source.
  
  The ERP system uses Delphi and Firebird and I was the main developer for new features used by our biggest customer a textile industry.

  This course gives me a very good knowledge about how to build softwares using object-oriented programming, the focus was in Java and it's technologies, but the concepts are applicable to others languages and platforms as well. I also learned how to use UML to better design softwares. And a brief introduction about management of softwares projects.
